This introductory course will provide students with a working understanding of the drafting and design industry.

Students will: learn the fundamentals of drafting, utilize professional grade software programs, operate prototyping machinery such as 3D printers and laser cutters, develop collaborative skillsets and participate in many real-world hands-on activities & design challenges.

This second level course will provide students with an in-depth understanding of the mechanical and architectural 

drafting industries.

Students will: learn advanced CADD techniques, utilize professional grade software programs, operate prototyping machinery such as 3D printers and laser cutters and demonstrate design thinking through innovative design challenges.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

This introductory course will introduce students to underwater robotics / ROVs. 

​

Students will: work collaboratively to design and build a robot frame, a control system and a propulsion system which will be tested at an underwater robotics competition. Students will also utilize professional grade software programs to create designs for 3D printing and laser engraving/cutting.
